Every semester the UFRJ International Affairs Office (SCRI, acronym in Portuguese) opens a student exchange call regarding the mobility period starting on the next subsequent semester. For further details about UFRJ open students exchange calls, click here.

The applications are sent to the UFRJ International Affairs Office (SCRI, acronym in Portuguese) by its counterpart at the international partner – such as the International Affairs Office or the Mobility/Erasmus Office - as indicated on the call.

In general, the following documents are mandatory to complete the application:

  • Application Form – Incoming Students
  • Copy of the Passport effective for the whole exchange period;
  • Motivation Letter, written in Portuguese with the maximum length of 3 paragraphs;
  • Recommendation Letter, issued and signed by a professor from the applicant’s course or similar representative. The letter may be written in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish with maximum length of 3 paragraphs;
  • Up-to-date Official Transcript of Records, along with a Portuguese version;
  • Up-to-date Abridged Resumé, written in Portuguese;
  • Abridged Version of the Research Project, written in Portuguese by graduate students with a research project already defined.
